Matthew is absolutely HONORED to just be a part of his good friend, Jillian Leff's play; MISSED OPPORTUNITIES. He has seen her work so hard and it's paying off. You may have seen Matt in last year's play SHE KILLS MONSTERS as Chuck! He has also been a part of shows such as WAITNG FOR GODOT, COLUMBINUS, ALMOST MAINE (McHenry County College), THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE (Up & Coming Theater), THE SNOW QUEEN, LAST LAUGH, (Clock Productions) PRIDE EVER AFTER (Pride Films and Plays) and much much more. He is extremely excited to be working with this company again. He hopes you have so much fun watching the journey of Max coming into her own. Enjoy the show!
Get to know Matthew!
TCTP: Adam knows what snack to bring to any occasion. What's your go-to snack?
MT: My go to snack is probably cheddar sour cream chips, or salt and vinegar chips, while not good for your breath they are hella delicious.
TCTP: Is there a missed opportunity in your life?
MT: I went to a Newsies audition and I for sure thought I nailed the singing audition... Well, I read the notice wrong and thought that I didn't have to show up to the dance audition because it specifically asked for only dancers to show up. GUYS. I didn't show up to a dance heavy show audition after completing half of the process. #missedopportunity
TCTP: Max and Jenna lie about their relationship all in the name of love (or wanting to get away from it.) What do you think is worth lying for?
MT: To spare someone feeling bad. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all.
TCTP: MISSED OPPORTUNITIES is a spin on classic romantic comedies. What's your favorite rom-com and why?
MT: 13 going on 30. I have watched this movie so many times! It's just a really cute whimsical story. Who the hell would of thought that "fairy dust" could magically turn a doll house into this weird enchantment into showing your future. Now, some might say that those were reference to "hard drugs" but I'm definitely chalking it up to magic.
TCTP: All four of our characters are just 20-somethings trying to live their lives and be adults. When do you most feel like you're adulting?
MT: When I'm working or when I complete errands that need to be finished!
MISSED OPPORTUNITIES runs January 17 - February 16 at The Den. Get tickets here: https://bit.ly/2SvaqYB
