TCTP: What was your favorite show you were a part of in high school?
MJ: A Midsummer Nights Dream I Played Puck.
TCTP: Have you actually read Moby Dick?
MJ: Not all the way through I have read certain parts of it.
TCTP: What is a piece of classical literature you would love to see turned into a musical?
MJ: The Hours by Michael Cunningham it became a movie with Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, and Nicole Kidman, Or Chéri By Colette it is a love story about a young man and an older woman and it has a lot flash backs.
TCTP: Do you have a personal white whale? What is it? (Interpret how you wish.)
MJ: Yes with my insecurities sometimes they just creep on you but you have to fight back and claim your life you know.
TCTP: What’s the most thrown together show you’ve ever done?
MJ: In High school we had to do a play at the end of every school year that was a class production and my Sophomore year we did Alice in Wonderland and it was super thrown together. Outside of HS I did a production of the Jungle Book where I played Mowgli I think I was like 22/23. Now that show was also super thrown together because the director had to recycle all kinds of things from past shows in order to do it. I remember my costume was originally a dress they used for Barefoot in the Park and they repurposed it for Mowgli's Jungle attire.
