Get to know Rebecca!
TCTP: Jesse gets in trouble a lot at school. Were you a troublemaker as a kid?
RS: No, I was the perfect child in school. I knew if I got in trouble or didn't make the grades, I would get in trouble at home.
TCTP: This is a show where characters (and the actors themselves) break the fourth wall. How do you feel about breaking the fourth wall, when you're working on a show? How about as an audience member?
RS: I love breaking the 4th wall as both and actor and seeing it as an audience member. It creates an unique connection for both parties that can create a stronger connection.
TCTP: What distracts you?
RS: I recently deleted Facebook off my phone therefore I am more productive. Living that millennial life to the fullest!
TCTP: In the play Mama has a big decision to make about Jesse’s future. what kind of decision maker are you? You do research? Make a pro-con list? Trust your gut? Something entirely different?
RS: I usually make 3 plans after researching all my options and then go for the first one as best I can knowing I have 2 other ways to make it happen.
TCTP: Jesse loves rap. His parents don't love that he loves rap. What kind of music did you listen to as a kid? Did your parents approve?
RS: My parents insisted on me listening to only Christian music as a kid, however, musicals were allowed because it was the arts and it was what I loved. RENT was a guilty pleasure
Come see Rebecca and the rest of the cast of DISTRACTED, running September 8 - October 7 at Prop Thtr.
