Get to know Marc!
TCTP: Jesse gets in trouble a lot at school. Were you a troublemaker as a kid?
MJ: Yep was a very high energy kid who always seemed to get into sticky situations. I have broken both of arms as a child because I made very poor choices when climbing trees.
TCTP: This is a show where characters (and the actors themselves) break the fourth wall. How do you feel about breaking the fourth wall, when you're working on a show? How about as an audience member?
MJ: I think its great it also gives insight to the text for the actor.
TCTP: What distracts you?
MJ: Anything Shiny oh and Glitter.
TCTP: In the play Mama has a big decision to make about Jesse’s future. what kind of decision maker are you? You do research? Make a pro-con list? Trust your gut? Something entirely different?
MJ: I have done all of the above with big decisions I usually research but then again I moved to Chicago 6 years and had never been here. I just trusted my gut
TCTP: Jesse loves rap. His parents don't love that he loves rap. What kind of music did you listen to as a kid?
MJ: Well Tori Amos, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Tears For Fears and The Cranberries were in heavy rotation for me when I was a kid and my parents were sorta ok with it until my mom heard all the lyrics to Tori's Precious Things and then she took my CD away. I did manage to get it back.
