Gail Gallagher is a music director, actor, composer, and sound designer about town. For the month of February she will be performing in HOT BUNS AND BEEF CAKES: LINDA BELCHER’S LOVE CONNECTION (Louise) (Playlab Productions). She is also the Sound Designer for Cuckoo’s Theater Project’s upcoming production of STOP KISS. She can be seen behind the keyboard for many improv teams about town including Storytown Improv, Hitchcocktails, and Phamily the Musical at the pH comedy theatre. When she’s not involved with awesome projects she enjoys knitting, drinking craft beer, and watching goofy tv shows. Often all three at the same time.
Get to know Gail! :
TCTP: The characters that live after the incident spend a lot of time looking over their shoulders. What is one of your biggest fears?
TCTP: To deal with what happened that night, some characters turn to certain means of escape. What is your biggest vice?
GG: Giant burgers/ anything that has way more cheese than one should be comfortable with
TCTP: Tattoos/Body Alterations (best way we could say it with no spoilers) are are a recurring image in the play. Do you have any tattoos/piercings, etc?
GG: No tattoos but if I got one it would be a phoenix rising out of music notes and the string of notes would be the first song I wrote.
TCTP: The incident started from a group of teenagers having a night of dumb, reckless, fun. What’s a dumb thing you did when you were young?
GG: Wandering around walmart at ridiculous hours of the night after getting out of play rehearsal. These are the things we did in a small town where the other option was the bars.
TCTP: The majority of the characters are coupled up at the beginning of the play. Who was your first young love? Bonus question: Are you still together?
GG: True facts- it was during a production of Jesus Christ Superstar and I had a mini relationship with one of the ensemble members. I was 13 he was 14 and we lived in different towns so that ended quickly. Ahhh the theatre.
