His Chicago credits include BARBACK (Sound Designer/Composer), ALASKA (Playwright) (The Burrowers Theatre Company); WILL THE CIRCLE (TREY) (Underscore Theatre Company), and now this one! He is more than thrilled to work with Cuckoo Theater Project and thanks his pet rats for all the support and for being just so darn cute.
Get to know Justin! :
TCTP: The characters that live after the incident spend a lot of time looking over their shoulders. What is one of your biggest fears?
JP: Spiders, obviously.
TCTP: To deal with what happened that night, some characters turn to certain means of escape. What is your biggest vice?
JP: After thinking for a long time, I’m gonna have to go with Hot Cheetos, final answer.
TCTP: Tattoos/Body Alterations (best way we could say it with no spoilers) are are a recurring image in the play. Do you have any tattoos/piercings, etc?
JP: I have an anchor on my left hand ring finger!
TCTP: The incident started from a group of teenagers having a night of dumb, reckless, fun. What’s a dumb thing you did when you were young?
JP: Most of the things I considered reckless fun as a kid were having my friends over while- get this- my parents were out of town. I was pretty much a rebel without a cause.
TCTP: The majority of the characters are coupled up at the beginning of the play. Who was your first young love? Bonus question: Are you still together?
JP: Are we doing names? I probably shouldn’t do names. She was my completely wonderful partner in show choir and is now still doing wonderful things and living it up. We are not, however, still together!
