Cast and Creative Team Announced for The Cuckoo’s Theater Project’s Production of MOBY DICK! THE MUS

The Cuckoo’s Theater Project is excited to announce the cast and creative team of the first show of their fifth season, MOBY DICK! THE MUSICAL by Robert Longden and Hereward Kaye, directed by TCTP Company Member Donald Kolakowski, opening October 29th, 2018 at The Heartland Studio.

The girls of St. Godley's School are in trouble! Money for the school has run out, and the place will have to close. Leave it to these resourceful girls and their unflappable headmistress to come up with a plan to keep the school afloat. Using whatever they can find at hand, the girls mount an original production as a fundraiser: a musical version of Moby Dick, featuring their headmistress in the coveted role of Captain Ahab.

The cast includes Peter Ruger (Headmistress/Ahab), Allison Ristaino (Ishmael), Alexandra Cross (Esta), Kelsey Skomer (Starbuck), Samie Jo Johnson (Stubb/Gardiner), Thomas Tong (Dagoo/Elijah/Coffin), TCTP Artistic Director Marc James (Pip/Mapple), Tina-Kim Nguyen (Tashtego/Flask/Mary), and Hannah Simpson (Pip/Stubb/Ishmael U/S)

MOBY DICK! THE MUSICAL will be directed by TCTP Company Member Donald Kolakowski. Artistic and production staff include Charlie Mann (Music Director), TCTP Company Member Melissa Golden (Assistant Director), TCTP Staff Member Shannon Melick (Set and Props Design), TCTP Company Member Rocco Renda (Costume Design), TCTP Company Member Michael Joseph (Lighting Design), TCTP Company Member Oriana Dentici (Sound Design/Stage Manager), and Amy Skrodzki (Assistant Stage Manager).

The show will run October 29 – December 1, 2018 at The Heartland Studio, 7016 N Glenwood Ave, Chicago, IL 60626. Performances will be Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 3pm.
