Get to know Ashley!

TCTP: What is your weapon of choice in the apocalypse?

AG: My weapon of choice in the apocalypse is a gun even though I do not know how to use one and would probably end up seriously injuring myself.

TCTP: What’s your signature dish that you bring to barbecues?

AG: I‘m no grill master, so I would bring a really good fruit salad to a barbecue.

TCTP: Which character in BARBECUE APOCALYPSE are you actually most like?

AG: I would say that I’m most like my character, Glory. I definitely think I’m smarter than her, but she is very loyal, and I would say I’m a loyal friend and significant other. She’s also pretty badass and doesn’t let people walk all over her. Glory is also an actor and knows a lot about musicals, just like me!

TCTP: What’s your favorite end of the world movie and/or book?

AG: My favorite end of the world movie is one that recently just came out called, A Quiet Place. I think it’s the first end of the world movie that focuses on the relationships of the characters that are left on earth. In this movie, you care so much about the family of characters that you cannot fathom or handle anything bad happening to them. I was on the edge of my seat and rooting for every character in this movie, except for the horrific alien monsters that hunt people through sound.

TCTP: What kind of apocalypse (zombie, nuclear, environmental, etc.) would you survive the longest in?

AG: I would survive in none of them. I truly have no skills that could get me through an apocalypse. I can’t hunt, I don’t have any fighting skills, I’ve never shot a gun, and I don’t know how to read a map. Doesn’t matter what kind of apocalypse it is, I’m done for. Now I’m thinking I should maybe go learn some things in case of an apocalypse in my lifetime.
