The Cuckoo's Theater Project Welcomes New Ensemble Members

The Cuckoo’s Theater Project is excited to welcome four new company members, their first ever artistic associate, and two new staff members to their team.
Joining the company are Hilary Bernius, Oriana Dentici, Michael Joseph, and Rebecca Sparks.
Hilary Bernius is an actor whose previous credits with TCTP include THE FAIRYTALE LIVES OF RUSSIAN GIRLS (Baba Yaga), LANGUAGE OF ANGELS (Kendra), and THE WATER CHILDREN (Megan).
Oriana Dentici is joining the company after serving as the lighting designer for BARE: A POP OPERA, and as the Stage Manager for last season’s LANGUAGE OF ANGELS and THE WATER CHILDREN. Up next, she will be stage managing TICK, TICK...BOOM! later this fall.
Michael Joseph has been the lighting designer for multiple TCTP shows, including ANON(YMOUS), WOMEN, LANGUAGE OF ANGELS, THE WATER CHILDREN, and the upcoming DISTRACTED, which is opening in September.
Rebecca Sparks is joining TCTP after appearing in THE GREEN BIRD (Singing Apple), THE HEIDI CHRONICLES (Susan), and LANGUAGE OF ANGELS (Danielle). She is currently in rehearsals for DISTRACTED (Mama).
Aziza Macklin will be the company’s first ever artistic associate. Her TCTP credits include ANON(YMOUS) (Naja), THE HEIDI CHRONICLES (Fran/Denise/Molly), and WOMEN (Jo March).
Also joining the Cuckoo’s team as staff members are Shannon Melick as Set Design Associate and Angela Forshee as Casting Associate. Melick was the set designer for STOP KISS last season and will be designing the set for DISTRACTED and the props for SHE KILLS MONSTERS this season. Forshee served as the Assistant Director for WOMEN and directed STOP KISS last season. She’ll be directing SHE KILLS MONSTERS in the spring.
The current company includes Marc James (Artistic Director), Bart O’Toole (Managing Director), Francesca Atian, Sara Carranza (Company Manager), Richard Costes, Gail Gallagher, Melissa Golden (Company Stage Manager), Donald Kolakowski (President of the Board), Xavier Lagunas, Jillian Leff (Marketing Director), Sussie Piril (Company Stage Manager), Rocco Renda, and Bryan Tims.
