Cast and Creative Team Announced for The Cuckoo's Theater Project's production of THE WATER

The Cuckoo’s Theater Project is pleased to announce the cast and creative team of the final show of their third season, The Water Children, by Wendy MacLeod, opening June 10, 2017 at The Vault Theater at Collaboraction Studios in The Flat Iron Arts Building.

Megan is an actress somewhere between "ingenue" and "Mom." When she loses an important role to a younger woman, her agent convinces her to take a part in a commercial for Life Force, an anti-abortion group. Megan, having had an abortion, and being a staunch liberal, is conflicted about the job. She complicates her life even more when she begins to date Randall, the organization's executive director. Megan and Randall hit it off and they try to put their personal beliefs aside, but when Randall's colleagues become militant, things suddenly become more difficult. And when Megan learns she is pregnant, it sends her on the personal journey of her life, spinning into her past, magnifying her present, and leaving her completely at a loss as to her future.

The cast includes Hilary Bernius (Megan), Trevor Bates (Chance), Joe Liolos (Randall), TCTP Company Member Melissa Golden (Liz), Tyler Seybold (Tony), Elisabeth Del Toro (Crystal), Carlye Pollack (Kit/Mom/Cat, Megan U/S), Patrick Ruetschlin (Dad/Jim), TCTP Company Member Xavier Lagunas (Roger/Buddhist Monk), Ashley Greenwood (Female U/S), TCTP Company Member Rocco Renda (Randall/Jim/Dad U/S), Tommy Foy (Chance/Tony U/S), and TCTP Artistic Director Marc James (Roger/Buddhist Monk U/S)

The Water Children will be directed by Denise Smolarek. Artistic and production staff include TCTP Company Member Sussie Piril, assistant direction; Oriana Dentici, stage management; Charlotte Lastra assistant stage management and set design; TCTP Artistic Director Marc James, costume design; Michael Joseph, lighting design; TCTP Company Member Bryan Tims, sound design; and TCTP Company Member Sara Carranza, props design.

The Water Children will run June 10 - July 8 at The Vault Theater at Collaboraction Studios in The Flat Iron Arts Building, 1579 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60622. Performances will be Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm, with a Saturday matinee on July 8th.
