Get to know Ian! :
TCTP: The characters that live after the incident spend a lot of time looking over their shoulders. What is one of your biggest fears?
IM: One of my biggest fears would have to be dying without accomplishing something truly great.
TCTP: To deal with what happened that night, some characters turn to certain means of escape. What is your biggest vice?
IM: My biggest vice would have to be debauchery of all kinds.
TCTP: Tattoos/Body Alterations (best way we could say it with no spoilers) are are a recurring image in the play. Do you have any tattoos/piercings, etc?
IM: No tattoos/piercings, but if I did get a tattoo it would be in conjunction with my two best friends. We would get the Star Fleet symbols on our chests so it's like we had communicators.
TCTP: The incident started from a group of teenagers having a night of dumb, reckless, fun. What’s a dumb thing you did when you were young?
IM: I did a lot of dumb things when I was young. One ... time we accidentally threw a Project X-ish style party at my friend David's house while his mom was out of town for MLK weekend. We crammed close to 200 kids into a small house and had a total of 12 cop cars pull up two hours later. When the cops had cleared everyone out we were allowed to stay because we had nowhere else to go. We then were complete idiots and went drifting in two separate cars (Sean and David) before driving downtown and being high school hoodlums at 2 AM. I have many other stories; I will try to think of them.
TCTP: The majority of the characters are coupled up at the beginning of the play. Who was your first young love? Bonus question: Are you still together?
IM: My first young love I THOUGHT was a girl named Janet, but it ended up being a graduated senior named Carielle. We semi dated until she graduated and I became a senior at which point she cut all ties to avoid any emotional heartache. It was at this point I pined over Janet again, but years later I realized why it hurt so bad was that I never got to see Carielle's face again.
